Macos – There is no such thing as a sound of Marantz Cinema 50 when it’s performed from Macbook Professional


Lately I purchased a Marantz Cinema 50, however I am unable to get sound by its audio system after I play movies or music from my MacBook Professional (M1 Professional, Sequoia 15.3.2). I’d respect any assist for drawback fixing!

Configuration

  • AVR: Marantz Cinema 50
  • MacBook: M1 Professional, Sequoia 15.3.2
  • Projector: Epson (in all probability not related)

Connection

  • MacBook → (HDMI 2.0) → AVR (HDMI in 1 or 4) → Wait a video and audio video by AVR audio system.
  • AVR → (HDMI OUT MONITOR 1 ARC/EARC) → Projector.

Macbook configuration

  • Sound output: Set up in “Marantz 50 (HDMI)” (No AirPlay). AirPlay works properly.
  • MIDI audio configuration: 2ch 16 bit 44.1 KHz (examined totally different configurations, unchanged). The first stream is attenuated (Mac doesn’t appear to detect a speaker).

Marantz configuration

  • Enter: Set up in HDMI (set for HDMI 4).
  • ARCH: OFF.
  • HDMI AUDIO OUT: Set up in AVR (no TV).

Outcomes

  • The video works properly on the projector.
  • Audio issues:
    • Spotify: Lags and repeat brief loops earlier than persevering with.
    • Gopro movies (VLC): the sound is sluggish.
    • YouTube/Netflix: The video doesn’t begin until it modifications sound to the MacBook audio system.
